Curio has signed the BOOST covenant for Brabant student teams. This gives students from more than 250 secondary vocational education ((V)MBO) programmes easier access to student teams within the Brabant-wide network. With over 14,000 students across a wide range of disciplines, from events and sustainability to engineering and communication, Curio is a valuable addition to BOOST.
With Curio joining, the collaboration now consists of twelve educational institutions across North Brabant. In addition, Curio’s participation strengthens the representation of West Brabant within the BOOST network. This marks another important step towards a truly Brabant-wide ecosystem for student-driven innovation.
Within BOOST, educational institutions work together to make student teams more accessible to students from vocational education through to university level. Thanks to the agreements within the covenant, it becomes easier for students to participate in student teams at other educational institutions across Brabant. Student teams can also serve as learning environments for internships, minors, and practice-oriented educational assignments, including those from Curio.
New opportunities for Curio students
Curio offers various programmes and initiatives to stimulate talent development among students. Neeltje Sep, Talent Coordinator at Curio, is therefore the main contact person for students and teachers interested in student teams.
Neeltje says the following about Curio joining BOOST:
At Curio, the learning needs of every pupil and student are central. We are proud that, through BOOST, we can now also support students who want to challenge themselves within a student team environment. We also hope to contribute to existing student teams through practical assignments, internships, and collaborations for our vocational students.
Hieke van Heesch, Education Manager at BOOST, adds:
By welcoming Curio to the covenant, we are taking another important step towards a stronger and more accessible student team network in Brabant. Curio not only brings a large and diverse group of talented students, but also shares the vision that students should learn through hands-on experience, collaboration, and personal challenge. By connecting vocational, applied sciences, and university students within student teams, valuable learning experiences and new opportunities for talent development are created throughout Brabant.
BOOST continues to grow in West Brabant
With Curio joining, BOOST is further expanding its network in West Brabant. The collaboration aims not only to give more students access to existing student teams, but also to contribute to the development of new initiatives in the region. By connecting educational institutions, students, and student teams, BOOST continues to build an accessible Brabant-wide ecosystem where innovation, practical experience, and talent development are central.
