University Racing Eindhoven (URE), the student team of Eindhoven University of Technology, has achieved 2nd place overall at the very last edition of Formula Student Netherlands. This makes URE the highest scoring Dutch team in the competition.
The competition took place at the iconic TT Circuit in Assen, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. In this special edition of the competition, 44 international student teams in the electric class (EV) competed for a week in technical tests, static presentations and races on the circuit.
URE's strong results
University Racing Eindhoven closed the week with excellent results, including:
- 2nd place Overall
- 2nd place Endurance - 22 km on speed, strategy and reliability
- 2nd place Business Plan Presentation - with the concept URElectric, a conversion kit for electric bikes
- 3rd place Acceleration - 75-metre sprint, despite wet asphalt
- 3rd place Skidpad - test of cornering behaviour and grip
The week started strong, with flawless progress in all technical tests: mechanical, electrical, accumulator and dynamic. During the static parts, the team managed to impress with strong presentations in Engineering Design, Cost & Manufacturing and especially the Business Plan Presentation. Even during the dynamic events, the team stayed sharp; after a minor incident during the Autocross, the car was quickly repaired, after which performance on the track held up under difficult weather conditions.

The last Formula Student Netherlands
Formula Student is the world's largest engineering competition for students, focusing on innovation, sustainability and teamwork. The 2025 edition marks the final conclusion of the Dutch branch of this competition.
With a 2nd place overall and as the best Dutch team, URE closes this last edition in style. An achievement that is the result of months of designing, building and working together. In about a month's time, University Racing Eindhoven will take to the start line at the legendary Hockenheimring in Germany for the Formula Student World Championship, where the team will once again show what it has to offer.
